Glittery glowing and Dazzling you

In make-up, if the base or foundation has a bit a shimmer in it then it lifts up your face a lot. I’m personally a fan of such products. So today I’ll share a few products which have a bit of shimmer in it that you could use at various levels.

Let’s start at Base

Primer:

This product of Mac Prep & Prime is amazing. It provides just the perfect base to work your art on. It’s been a permanent feature of my make up since 2007 so I’ll certainly recommend it.

Pro:

  • Smooth and moisturized skin
  • Goes well with every kind of skin
  • Non oily
  • Leaves a slight shimmer so gives skin a glow
  • One drop it enough (very less quantity is used in each application)

Cons:

  • Slightly pricey 2350/-
  • Amount is 30 ml

Highlighter:

This is a great addition to the make-up kit Bobby Brown’s Nude finish Illuminating powder. It has a slight shimmer and is in a palette form so it’s easy to carry. After make-up just use it on the face with a fluffy brush and it highlight’s the face.

Pro:

  • Very easy to apply
  • Gives a subtle glow
  • Lasts very long
  • Works well on almost all skin tones

Cons

  • Price is slightly on higher side 3300/-

Foundations:

I’ve searched for so many products to find slight shimmer but I was able to find it in Oriflame foundations only. Luckily they were not too costly and blended well with my skin tone.

It comes in combination with body shimmer lotion too and I bought it on sale so it just costed me very less from Oriflame site.

Both are very light and goes well with almost all skin type. The only problem is they have very less shades if your skin tone is not too dark or fair the product would suit you else it’s a risk.

So you’ve to decide and purchase it because it doesn’t go well with every skin tone and skin type.

Pro:

  • Non expensive
  • Has slight shimmer

Cons:

  • Less quantity
  • Shades available are less
  • Doesn’t go well with dry skin

Dry powders:

In after make-up touch up I found a dry powder based products that could be used.

Lakme:

 It comes in 2 shades

  • Bronze
  • Gold
Pin It…

I’m using the gold version and it’s very subtle and amazing. It gives great glow and for application it has a sponge so you could just pat it on the face and neck and you’re all-ready to go.

It’s not too expensive. The gold and Bronze both are made for Indian skin tone so they merge very well.

This is a list of products that I found really great & I hope you’ll love them too

Keep Glowing.

  1. I’m a big fan of the Mac Pep and Prime and I think Oriflame is just fab. I haven’t bought Lakme products lately and am super excited to include the Gold dry powder myself. Thanks for the reccos.

  2. I am such a make up novice but this looks like a must haves. I am excited about giving my skin that tinge of shimmer from either product range.

Thanks for the meticulous writing on its use, brands and pricing. Much love to you.

  3. Wow, you have done this so well. My niece I am sure would love to check this out. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  4. Even in past I have looked for foundations with shimmer, as I love applying in very slight tones. Good to know that oriflame has it, I’m sure to grab one for myself.

  5. I use Mac and Lakme products and both live up to their reputations. Never tried Oriflame though. A helpful post to decide which products to use.
