Avengers Infinity War: A Thought

Marvel’s Avengers Infinity War was released this fall and was rated 4+ everywhere. It was most sought out the movie in a long time. After watching the movie I was forced to think about the plot of the movie. In this movie they’ve combined 6 movies to create a concluding sequel:

  • Avengers (which already is a confluence of Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Thor
  • Strange
  • Spider-Man
  • Black Panther
Avengers

The plot of Avengers Infinity War:

It is definitely the usual plot to “Save the World” but the strange thing was both heroes and villain were trying to “Save the World”.

Save the Planet

Let’s ponder on that:

Heroes want to Save the World from Villain Thanos who’s immensely powerful and is gaining more power by attaining the 6 infinity stones for which he was ready to pay any prize even sacrificing his beloved daughter Gamora (female lead of Guardians of the Galaxy) and torturing second daughter Nebula. He’s so focused on his journey to Save the World that he refused to see the plight of humanity or heroes.

He wants to provide prosperity, equality, harmony by reducing poverty, hunger but to attain that he has found a non-biased, painless solution: kill half of the world’s population. He picks up half world’s population randomly for mass genocide and on the snap of a finger, they just cease to exist.

In his journey, he indeed registered and acknowledges each sacrifice and loss of souls, which makes his less of the Villain. Is he just a “misguided soul”?

Heroes want to give humanity a chance to choose and take action on the growing problem of population and save finite resources of the planet on their own. They don’t want to sacrifice their will and kill others for the betterment of society. Although they too acknowledge the problem their moto to stop villain is to “stop dictatorship and they save the right to choose”

Iron Man

At the end of this sequel half of the superheroes are dead, by random selection. Which indeed is something…

  • Strange
  • Spider-Man
  • Black Panther
  • Sam & Bucky (friends of Captain America)
  • The whole of the crew of Guardians of Galaxy except Rocket “The Rabbit” are dead
  • Vision
  • Wanda(the sister who attains the power of mind control by Nazi experiments in Avengers)

The Sequel is indeed the most awaited Sequel of Marvel series. The roles are well played by the actors, the makeup and Visual effects are amazing. So this movie gets:

Rating: 4+

Its definitely a Must watch movie. Can’t wait to watch the concluding Part.

 Food For Thought:

we do need to control the population and our complete disregard towards the dwindling resources of our planet.

  1. This instalment in the Marvel series has a darker tone with some stronger themes, but is fast paced enough that it is all about the action and the characters.

  2. I have been so eagerly waiting for this movie as we intend to watch it with my son who loves his super heroes. The context taken up by the producers is very apt.

  3. I somehow didn’t resonate with this installment. It left a lot of questions unanswered and created a lot many. I just hope the next installment is much better than this.

  4. Yes yes, being a Marvel fan, it was my duty to watch the movie on the first day itself (which i did religiously like always)
The kid in me will always do this..:p

  5. I have not been an avenger fan but this plot seems to be very intriguing..M sure this must be a bug hit with the kids.

  6. I haven’t seen this yet. I am a huge fan of Spider Man. He dies????? I’m crushed 🙁
